Can the Dawgs walk out of the "world’s largest outdoor cocktail party" with a win?

The Match up
The Georgia Bulldogs will be facing their longtime division rivals, the Florida Gators, on November 2nd. This match up will take place at their normal neutral site located in Jacksonville, Florida. Georgia opens as a 5.5 point favorite to win. ESPN gives the Georgia Bulldogs a 61.5% chance of winning this game. The key players to watch are all on offense. The quarterback match up between UGA quarterback Jake Fromm and Florida quarterback Kyle Trask. Both have had solid seasons with over 1300 yards passing. Trask has the edge in touchdowns, but that’s because Jake from has a great group of running backs to lean on. This leads me to the next key player match up. Both of the starting running backs for this game are elite. D’Andre Swift will go against Florida’s Lamical Perine. Swift has the edge here with over 750 yards rushing, while Perine only has just over 450 yards rushing. Both Defenses are good so this should be a fun match up to watch.
The Teams
Both teams come into this game with only one loss each on the season. Georgia’s loss is to South Carolina. That loss is worse than Florida’s loss to LSU. LSU is a very good team this season whereas South Carolina isn’t a good team. Georgia has the edge in both points per game and points allowed per game. UGA scores around 36 points per game while Florida scores only around 32 points per game. UGA also only allows around 10 points per game while Florida allows around 15 points per game. Regardless of those stats, I believe Florida has a better defense than Georgia. Those numbers don’t tell you the competition each tam has gone against. Florida has faced better teams than Georgia has. Even though Georgia has better numbers, that doesn’t mean Florida isn’t a better team. Both teams are very comparable of each other.
Conclusion
Most of the time, these games are very competitive and come down to the fourth quarter. I don’t expect that to be any different this season. I believe that this is going to be a very close and hard fought game between two good teams. Whoever wins this game will bring themselves back into the playoff conversation, while the loser will see their chances of making it into the playoff vanish. This is one of the many must watch games during every college football season even if you aren’t a fan of either team. This will be a fun match up and I cannot wait until Saturday November 2nd.
